The 2019 NFL Free Agency crop is strong, but the wide receiver group lacks depth. Here are five players whose specific strengths can help teams.

If your team is looking for wide receiver help in 2019, the NFL Free Agency pool is probably not the best basket to put all your eggs in.

With that said, there are still some players who can help teams and perhaps even be better at their next stop than they have been up to this point in their NFL careers.

Considering at this point there have been no cap casualties around the league, let’s look at the group of players currently slated for free agency and five players specifically who could be an asset to teams going forward.

1. Adam Humphries, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Age: 26

Adam Humphries has already become a better professional receiver than he ever was in college, where he played for a renowned wide receivers coach in Dabo Swinney at Clemson.

Clemson has put its fair share of receivers into the NFL, but if you asked someone to name the top receivers in the league who played for the Tigers, most people probably wouldn’t even know that’s where Humphries came from.

Humphries was targeted a career-high 103 times in 2018, dropping only three passes in the process.

He ranked in the top 10 in the NFL (among receivers who were targeted at least 83 times) in catch percentage (73.8 percent) and yards after the catch (433), and also ranked in the top 20 with 48 first-down grabs.

Humphries can do a little bit of everything for an NFL team and might wind up being one of the most popular players at his position on the open market given he just turned 26 and has been consistently productive the last three seasons.
