Game Prediction

According to OddsShark.com, the Denver Broncos will win this game by 10 points. Even considering how many players the Seahawks have lost this offseason, that seemed like a high initial estimate.

It does feel like the way the rosters are set up that the Broncos are deservedly one-score favorites at home over the Seahawks, but Denver fans aren’t resting easy after the way the last two seasons have gone offensively.

It’s going to take seeing this new-look offense win in a regular season setting for fans to believe they are actually capable of doing it, even after showing signs of great progress in the preseason.

Both teams feature some intriguing rookie running backs with Denver trotting out former Oregon Ducks star Royce Freeman and Seattle boasting first-round pick Rashaad Penny to go along with Chris Carson, who missed most of 2017.

The Broncos also have a back named Phillip Lindsay, an undrafted player who was so impressive all offseason and into the preseason that he sat out the fourth preseason game. He will have an impact.

Ultimately, it feels like the Broncos will win this one by a touchdown or so.

Final score prediction: Denver 24, Seattle 16
