Miami Dolphins at Baltimore Ravens: 3 Things to Watch
By Andrew Kim
Jay Ajayi is looking to have a bounce-back game against a struggling Ravens run defense.
Even though Brandon Williams came back from a foot injury suffered in week two against the Minnesota Vikings last week, the Ravens run defense still let Latavius Murray run his highest rushing total this year with 113 yards on 18 carries and had a rushing touchdown.
The Ravens’ run defense was one of the worst after Williams was injured but it did not seem to matter in week seven. Even though his presence was made during the game with a few flash plays, the run defense was still poor and contributed to the last couple losses recently.
Williams and rest of the Ravens defensive line have to show up this week and slow down Jay Ajayi if they want any chance of beating the Dolphins, even with a backup quarterback in Matt Moore.
Ajayi has gotten the carries but only had 51 rushing yards on 23 carries against the New York Jets in week seven. Look for the Dolphins to give Ajayi over 15 touches again to try to exploit the Ravens’ run defense and to take the pressure off Moore and to limit any chance of turnovers.
