The Miami Dolphins (4-2) head into Baltimore without Jay Cutler to face off against the Baltimore Ravens (3-4) for Thursday night football.

Jay Cutler has been declared out for week eight with a rib injury but should be back in week nine against the Oakland Raiders depending on his health. Matt Moore stepped in against the New York Jets last week and threw for 188 yards with a 61.9% completion percentage ( 2 passing touchdowns, 1 interception).

As a backup, Moore ended up playing better then Cutler and could take his job if he leads the Dolphins to a win tonight. Moore can lean on Jay Ajayi and has enough weapons around him like Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills, and Devante Parker (questionable with an ankle injury) to keep a struggling Ravens defense on their heels.

The offensive line is the key to a consistent run game even if Laremy Tunsil is questionable with a knee injury.

The Baltimore Ravens have to get a win against the Dolphins tonight to turn their season around for a potential playoff push.

Joe Flacco and the Ravens’ offense have been anemic this season and injuries to the receiving core spell bad news for tonight’s game against the Dolphins.

Other than recently resigned Griff Whalen, all the other receivers are questionable and are game-time decisions. Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman are recovering from concussions and Jeremy Maclin and Michael Campanaro are dealing with shoulder injuries.

I expect both Maclin and Perriman to play as they have had two weeks to recover from their injuries. Even when healthy, the passing game has not clicked on a consistent level due to many issues so even if some of the starting receivers are clear, I envision Flacco still struggling if they do not get the run game going against the Dolphins defense.

Here are three things to watch for tonight’s game in Baltimore….
