After LeSean McCoy publicly recruited his former teammate, Maclin apparently bought in. He visited Buffalo a few days ago, with the visit reportedly going well in the team’s eyes. McCoy has nearly had to put the team on his back thus far in Buffalo as the passing game has been relatively ineffective. A receiver like Maclin would be a welcome sight for McCoy.

Tyrod Taylor is locked in as the team’s quarterback and will not face pressure for the starting gig anytime soon. He can run, and he can throw; it’s all about keeping him off the turf and the injury report. The front office elected to keep him around for this next season because they believe he is the man for the job.

What is far less certain, however, is the receiving corps. Sammy Watkins is rightfully the top dog in the receiver room, but he regularly misses time. As a result, the team decided against his fifth-year option as a result. Selecting Zay Jones in the 2017 NFL Draft was a smart move but the rookie won’t be ready to be the main guy should Watkins miss time this year.

Maclin would be capable of filling the number one slot if Buffalo put pen to paper. If Watkins doesn’t miss much time or somehow suits up for every game, Maclin would be one of the league’s best secondary options. Buffalo would seem to be a great, feasible option for Maclin.
