Good:  Tim Williams to Baltimore

Few teams are having a better draft than the Ravens and this is one those picks that illustrate why. Tim Williams is one of the top edge rushers in the class and a perfect fit for outside linebacker in the Ravens defense. He’s got 1st round ability all day long, but also a history of drug problems at Alabama. Still, to get a talent of this caliber in the 3rd round? That could be an all-time steal if he’s able to shake his old habits.

Bad:  C.J. Beathard to San Francisco

To be fair he was considered the most pro-ready quarterback in the draft. Nonetheless a multitude of draft experts felt Beathard, with his accuracy and consistency issues, was a late round pick at best. Some even thought he should end up undrafted. So to take him in the 3rd round is a colossal gamble by San Francisco. No doubt this decision was spurred by head coach Kyle Shanahan. His offensive prowess is the sole reason that helps this pick make any sense.
