Good:  Alvin Kamara to New Orleans

They do have Mark Ingram who had one of his best seasons in 2016, but the New Orleans Saints are wise to add somebody like Alvin Kamara. Not only was he tremendous value in the 3rd round, but his skill set is a perfect blend to what Ingram does. Where one is big and powerful, the other is sleek, athletic and agile. Kamara is the ideal change-of-pace option to make that Saints offense even more diverse than it was before. A scary thought.

Bad:  Dawuane Smoot to Jacksonville

In terms of size and athleticism there is a lot to like about Dawuane Smoot but it’s hard not to say he underachieved most of his college career at Illinois. For somebody so physically gifted his productivity was rather average. Not to mention he might be a little undersized for the defensive end position he’ll play in Jacksonville. So for him to be the fourth pick of the 3rd round is surprising. Either the Jaguars see something or they were that desperate for another edge rusher.
