#3:  Offensive Line

There are a great many people out there who are going to vehemently argue this should top the list. It’s understandable. Depth concerns continue to loom large over the offensive line and that was before injuries began to take their toll. Hroniss Grasu is already done for the year with a torn ACL. Kyle Long is now dealing with a labrum problem in his shoulder and Bobby Massie missed a recent practice too. The able bodies are dwindling, so that would make drafting help a top priority, right?

Yes and no. Don’t forget Grasu will be back next year and also that the Bears will have a considerable amount of salary cap space. They should be able to address their depth issues that way without using a high draft choice. Of course that doesn’t mean they won’t. History shows it’s never a bad idea to get good linemen early but these rankings are about overall need based on position strength and this is where the line belongs.
