26. Carolina Panthers

The defending NFC champion Carolina Panthers proved last season that they are at their most dangerous when they have a running game that forces opponents to take their eyes off Cam Newton. Jonathan Stewart was a Pro Bowler in 2015, but age and health questions are becoming prevalent with him, and the reserves behind him don’t offer much in the way of expectation that they can take over whenever his time is up. Some sort of heir must be considered.
At the moment Nick Chubb would look like a gamble because of the knee injury he suffered last year. Keep in mind though this is looking ahead to 2017. By that point the knee will be healthy (assuming no setbacks). When he’s 100%, Chubb showed the world that he’s yet another special talent at running back in a long line of them at Georgia. He may be shorter of stature but he runs with good power and knows how to find the hole. Defenses quickly find his speed is not to be underestimated either, as he can pop a big one if given a small window.
. RB. Georgia. Nick Chubb . 26. player. 87
