Baltimore Ravens: 2016 NFL Draft Grades
The Baltimore Ravens have established an identity for their team because of the tenacious defensive fronts. Players like Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil have terrorized the AFC north for years but age is catching up to them and a new regime most emerge sooner than later. In 2016, the Ravens took a defensive overall approach despite taking Ronnie Stanley in the first round. They are building the team over from the inside out. The same way they made it to their last two Super Bowl appearances which always start with their defense. This is where Kamalei Correa comes into play.

Correa was without a doubt one of the most underrated players in the 2016 draft and got into a perfect situation when he selected to play in Baltimore. He is versatile enough to play both inside backer and out when needed but also has a great blend of athleticism which allows him to play well in coverage. At 6’3 246lbs, Correa has the same build has last year’s top draft pick Vic Beasley but the elements his brings to the game are totally different. Correa will win a lot of his battles during games with his ability to translate speed to power but he also has the intelligence to play the run better than most players twenty pounds heavier.
It always takes time for players to develop into true NFL players but Correa may have the most impact more than any other rookie in his first year on the team.
