Wide Receiver

Jeremy Maclin was a great signing for the Chiefs last off-season and he proved that by being by far their best option at wide receiver.  One could say his addition was a huge key to them finally getting the playoff win monkey off their backs.  Keeping that in mind, outside of him the team had no consistent #2 option, hence their dependence on tight end Travis Kelce.

Rishard Matthews could help alleviate those problems.  He’s not a star like Maclin, but he proved this past season in Miami that he is a high-quality #2 option.  In just 11 games he managed 662 yards and four touchdowns.  He’s got some speed and knows how to get himself open.  The man is anxious to be more involved and the Chiefs could present him that opportunity.
