Lack of poise as much to blame as protection with Robert Griffin III
There is no question problems persist for the Washington Redskins offensive line. Penalties and poor blocking were a big reason why quarterback Robert Griffen III was battered so much against the Detroit Lions. Well, that and a good Lions front. However, RGIII deserves some of the criticism too. Often during the past couple seasons he looks indecisive, lacking the needed poise and awareness to handle pressure. He doesn’t know how to get the ball out fast, at least not with consistency.
Couple that with questions of leadership, and it’s no wonder some are calling for him to get benched.
