Zach Vigil was a tackling machine at Nevada, and has played really well up to this point for the Dolphins. He was one of the team’s highest graded rookies in the first preseason game by PFF with a grade of +1.1, but more importantly he finished with a total of 6 tackles and 3 ‘stops’ or plays that constitute offensive failure.

With some injuries to be considered, Vigil has earned reps with the starting unit in Miami and is well on his way to making the 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent.

If he has another big preseason game, perhaps we can expect to see him frequently in the regular season as well.
