Leonard Williams is for real
Just two games into the NFL preseason and already experts have begun to ask what the top five teams in the draft were thinking when they chose to pass on USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams. Considered by many to be the most talented overall player in the 2015 class, he showed the Jets and the Falcons offensive line why when he made five tackles and posted 1.5 sacks including a safety in just limited action.
It was a dominant showing and a welcome relief for New York who know they won’t have top pass rusher Sheldon Richardson due to suspension and other key lineman Muhammad Wilkerson is nagged by a hamstring problem. Until they get back, Williams must be the man.
He seems up to the challenge.
