Duke Johnson, RB

While he won’t be on the field tonight, Johnson is an interesting watch once the pre-season reaches week three. All signs point to the former Hurricane RB’s hamstring to be healed and ready for a test in game number three, a great sign for the Cleveland coaching staff.

Let’s not kid ourselves here — the Browns’ backfield is absolutely loaded.

With Crowell/West leading the way, Johnson can provide a presence as one of the best RB3’s in the NFL immediately. If healthy, his threat will be invaluable. It’ll be interesting to see where he fits in once he takes the field for the final two exhibition match ups.

OTHER NAMES TO WATCH

Ibraheim Campbell, DB: The former Northwestern safety has been seeing plenty of reps in practice. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs once things go live.

Shane Wynn, WR: A quiet name, but one that should be mentioned. The speedster has shown impressive flashes thus far and if he continues, he could be a practice squad add or a hot free agent mid-season watch. (Side note: he can return with the best of them and was a high-school track star.)
