What’s the first thing you do when you retire from the NFL? Go on a reality show, of course!

Just months after hanging up his cleats, Calvin Johnson will pick up his dancing shoes. According to multiple media reports, the former All-Pro wide receiver will compete on the upcoming season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Johnson will join fellow athletes Ryan Lochte and Laurie Hernandez for the shows 23rd season.

Other reported contestants include former Presidential Candidate and Texas Governor Rick Perry, model Amber Rose, Maureen McCormick, Terra Jole, Vanilla Ice, Marilu Henner, Jake T. Austin, “

Babyface,” James Hinchcliffe, and Jana Kramer.

Calvin Johnson joins a long list of NFL players past and present to appear on the show. The list of former contestants includes Hines Ward, Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Von Miller, Antonio Brown, Doug Flutie, Jacoby Jones, Donald Driver, Warren Sapp, Lawrence Taylor, Michael Irvin, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, Jason Taylor, and Kurt Warner.

Many of Johnsons’ former teammates were quoted by the Detroit Free Press as being surprised Megatron would be stepping onto the dance floor.

“To me, he’s not much of a dancer at all,” said wide receiver T.J. Jones. “I’ve never even seen him wiggle his shoulders. That’s why, for me, it’s like, I’ll believe it when I’ll see it.”

Running back Ameer Abdullah has little expectations for Johnson, saying “He’s going to do awful. He’s going to do awful, that’s a given. But he’s given it his best shot, that’s all you can ask for.”

It won’t be long until we see a Transformers-related dance by MegaTron himself. The first episode of Dancing with the Stars season 23 will air on September 12. at 8 p.m. eastern standard time.
