WATCH: Isaiah Bond exhibits NFL speed, elusiveness with 26-yard TD reception in Texas win
NFL teams looking for a fast, elusive wide receiver should look no further than Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond.
In helping his team fly to a 49-17 victory over the Florida Gators in Week 11, Bond had just 3 receptions for 55 yards, but displayed the type of playmaking skills that has him ranked as one of the top NFL Draft prospects at the wide receiver position entering the 2025 NFL Draft.
As a player with speed and an ability to make defenders miss, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound receiver showed off all his attributes on just one play.
Isaiah Bond is very fast!
Quinn Ewers had himself a game with five touchdown receptions in the Texas win, but this short pass to Bond was one of the most electrifying plays of the day as the Longhorns wide receiver showed just why he is a 2025 NFL Draft first-round prospect.
Watch:
The Longhorns were already up 35-0 when Bond ran through Florida’s defense, but it was the type of play that showcased his ability as a game-breaker type player on the NFL level. Classified as a burner, his savviness as a route runner will have NFL teams selecting in the middle to late first round of the NFL draft with a decision to make.
2025 NFL Draft: 3 teams that should have Isaiah Bond high on their list
Bond won’t be among the elite wide receivers of the draft, but with his elusiveness, explosiveness, and ability to create yards after the catch like he did in the play above will and should intrigue teams looking for a deep threat and the type of player who will compete on the field despite being undersized at the position.
Cincinnati Bengals: Tee Higgins more than likely won’t be a part of the mix for Joe Burrow in 2025, so why not add a burner like Bond to the mix. With Ja’Marr Chase on one side of the field, the Bengals offense could become that much more dangerous with a player like Bond on the other side. With his ability to make players missed, his route running ability becomes that much more dangerous catching the ball from one of the top QBs in the NFL.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Wide receiver won’t be a necessity for the Buccaneers, but with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin getting up there in age, the team must start looking towards the future at the position. So, why not add a speedster like Bond who can learn from the veterans and wow the fans at the same time. Baker Mayfield will love him.
Denver Broncos: Insert Bond in Sean Payton’s scheme and Bo Nix could have the type of explosive playmaker that will make the offense hard to stop depending on what other playmakers are on the field.
