As a former Defensive Rookie of the Year, Mayo faces a significant challenge in leading the team to the playoffs or even the Super Bowl, especially after the team's disappointing final season under Belichick. However, it's worth noting that he has not yet been appointed a general manager and may face several obstacles to achieving his goals. If he fails to do so, he could become a short-term option for Robert Kraft.

No. 8: Dan Quinn, Washington Commanders:

Dan Quinn was named the new head coach for the Washington Commanders on Feb. 3. Quinn is not a novice to the role, having already led the Atlanta Falcons from 2015 to 2020, taking them to a Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl LI against the New England Patriots.

Despite being ranked last, Washington hired Quinn as they had already tried the same thing by bringing in a defensive mastermind like Ron Rivera, who led the Carolina Panthers to a Super Bowl appearance. However, Washington must focus on rebuilding their defense, particularly in the pass rush, and selecting the right quarterback in the draft as they hold the second overall pick.
