On January 24, Jim Harbaugh was announced as the new head coach for the Los Angeles Chargers, replacing former head coach Brandon Staley.

Harbaugh, who has not been a head coach in the NFL since 2014, returned to his alma mater, the University of Michigan, in 2015 as head honcho, where he would win 4 Big Ten East Division Championships, 3 Big Ten Championships, and a CFP National Champions just last month for the first time since 1997. But with Harbaugh leaving it will impact Michigan.

Sherrone Moore takes over as head coach with NCAA investigations

Sherrone Moore has taken over as Harbaugh's successor.

During Harbaugh's suspension for three games due to violating recruiting regulations, Moore went 4-0 as the acting head coach. Upon Harbaugh's return, he led Michigan to six consecutive victories. However, on November 10, the Big Ten Conference announced another three-game suspension for Harbaugh due to an investigation of sign stealing.

Despite Harbaugh's suspension, Michigan had an undefeated regular season with an astonishing record of 15-0.

With Harbaugh now in the NFL, Moore will be coaching this Michigan team amid two NCAA investigations. Moore has already faced a one-game suspension for the self-imposed penalties for violating NCAA rules, which led to Harbaugh's punishment, but there could be more penalties from that case as he will take over as head coach. There is also a possibility of punishment for the NCAA's second case for sign stealing.

Regardless, Moore is now the coach for the Wolverines. Coming off a National Championship win as the team's offensive coordinator, the new Wolverines head coach will have to lead Michigan through whatever punishments the NCAA has in store for them.

Will Moore receive any punishments? Or even his Michigan Staff?

We will find out soon as Michigan is set to gear up for this upcoming season on August 31 against Fresno State.
