The 2023 NFL season has officially ended, and it's time to gear up for the upcoming 2024 season. It's worth noting that eight football teams have boldly decided to bring in new head coaches for the upcoming season.

These teams are the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, and Washington Commanders. I will rank these coaches in this article based on their potential to help their team in the upcoming season.

NFL head coach rankings: A new man in charge in Los Angeles

No. 1: Jim Harbaugh, Los Angeles Chargers:

Jim Harbaugh, who previously coached the San Francisco 49ers ten years ago, has returned to the NFL as the head coach for the Chargers. He was appointed to the position on January 24. Before his new role, Harbaugh had a successful coaching career at the University of Michigan from 2015 to 2023. As the head coach, he had an impressive record of 86-25. During his tenure at Michigan, he won 4 Big Ten East Division championships and 3 Big Ten Championships. He also led the team to victory in the CFP national championship.

The last time Harbaugh coached in the NFL, he had a career record 44-19-1. He took the 49ers to Super Bowl XLVII, but unfortunately, they lost to the Baltimore Ravens, who were coached by Harbaugh's older brother, John.
