Seattle Seahawks a fascinating landing spot for Justin Fields

The Seahawks are an interesting trade destination because they already have a lot of pieces in place.  A new head coach in Mike Macdonald along with a solid defense and playmakers on offense make the Emerald City a fascinating landing spot.

Seattle does have Geno Smith entering the second year of a three-year deal, but the veteran quarterback wasn’t as impactful in 2023 as he was in 2022 so the Seahawks could explore an upgrade at the position

Though Fields haven’t completely lived up to expectations (yet), he is more talented, younger and have shown signs of being an effective QB in the NFL.  With a change of scenery and the right situation, Fields has the tools to really flourish.

In just 13 games played in 2023, Fields threw for 2,562 yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions.  It was the way he ended the season that has the Bears in a tough decision on what to do with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.  Should they draft Caleb Williams or trade Fields?

If it’s the latter, expect the Seahawks to emerge as a suitor.
