Pittsburgh Steelers now a team to watch in the AFC North

Sitting at 6-3, the Pittsburgh Steelers may be the team in the division that benefits the most from the Joe Burrow and Deshaun Watson injures.

With a Week 11 matchup against the Cleveland Browns and two games remaining about the Bengals, the Steelers have an opportunity to put their stamp on the division and really challenge the Ravens for the top spot as the two teams will face off in the regular season finale.

The question with the Steelers is will they have enough offensive firepower to stay in the hunt.  With the way Mike Tomlin teams compete, TJ Watt and the defense will keep them in games, but can Kenny Pickett and the offense find consistency?  The Steelers offense has the weapons, especially with the return of tight end Pat Freiermuth, but how far they go will depend on quarterback play which is becoming the theme of the AFC North this season.

The Steelers don’t need Pickett to be great, but they do need him to make the plays necessary to win games.

“You’ve got to win at all costs in this game,” Pickett said, via the team’s official website.  “That’s all I truly care about.  Of course, you want to light the stat sheet.  But as long as we’re getting the wins, ‘m okay with that.  I sleep good with getting a win.  So keep pushing, keep having that mindset.”

Pickett also has a good running back to hand the ball off to in Najee Harris.  As long as the defense keeps playing great, the offense will stay in games and have a chance to make those winning plays when it really matters.
