AFC East Buzz: Matt Milano, De’Von Achane injury news, Jets revival, and the Mac Jones debacle
New England Patriots are the disaster of the AFC East
While New England Patriots fans were thankful the team got to take on Zach Wilson and the New York Jets for their only win of the season, it is turning out that their own quarterback is the worst in the division.
As the Patriots’ offense continue to falter, the belief in Mac Jones is fading even amongst fans who pull for Jones.
Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers!
It is hard to believe this is a Bill Belichick run team week after week. While the Patriots head coach has his faults in this mess, Mac Jones is on a path towards a regression that will be hard to turn around. Not only are teammates and former players starting to lose faith and patience in Jones, but he is also looking like he is losing that confidence within himself.
He is saying all the right things, but the body language and his hesitance on the field shows the image of a broken young quarterback. Can he begin to turn it around? It will take the coaching staff and players around him believing in him for the team to stop a colossal slide to the bottom of the league (which has already happened).
This could be the last week of Mac Jones as a New England Patriots quarterback. If he struggles, he’s done. Leading his offense to just 3 points the last two weeks has him on a short leash, especially when he has contributed to turnovers that have created more points for the other side.
The Mac Jones watch is on in New England.
