In approaching Week 5 of the 2024 NFL season, the good teams are starting to separate themselves from the bad teams.  There is still a lot of football to be played and still time for 1-3 teams like the Tennessee Titans to turn their season around.

When it comes to NFL Mock drafts, it’s an interesting time of the year because the top prospects in college football are starting to show their strengths.  Those strengths combined with the weaknesses of NFL teams makes it a fun time to play NFL GM when it comes to predicting where top prospect will go and when they will be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

With the draft order changing weekly, a team like the Titans find themselves in a position where their needs could change depending on the QB play of Will Levis.  So far, he has struggled and is now nursing an injury, but if he finds his magic or the Titans get solid QB plays this season from elsewhere, the needs can change.  But for now, it seems a team like Tennessee could go in any direction depending on the best available player when they select.

PFF NFL Mock Draft: Titans replace DeAndre Hopkins with top receiver prospect

As mentioned, the Titans will have some interesting decisions to make come 2025 NFL Draft.  If things stand with the team and Will Levis continues to struggle, the needs for the team could change.  But, if things settle down and the second year QB can catch fire again, bringing in another playmaker would hype up the Music City.  Speaking of sweet music, the latest PFF 2025 Mock Draft has Tennessee landing the nation’s top wide receiver in Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan.

In his latest mock draft, Trevor Sikkema writes:

“The Titans might be in the quarterback market next April, but I’ll still give Will Levis time to work through the typical young quarterback mistakes. Wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Boyd are both set to become free agents, and the 6-foot-6, 210-pound McMillan brings shades of Mike Evans every time you watch him.”

With Hopkins in the last year of his deal and on the other side of 30, the Titans will more than likely select a receiver at some point, but will it be this high in the draft?  While McMillan is an intriguing pick and would look nice next to Calvin Ridley Jr., NFL Mocks has the Titans taking EDGE rusher James Pierce Jr. and then going with Oregon’s Evan Stewart with their second-round pick.  It could go either way with the Titans at this point in their season.

But if they need a quarterback?

Other needs for the Tennessee Titans

If the Titans do enter the 2025 NFL QB market, the top options are obvious.  Miami’s Cam Ward has been setting the nation on fire as a dual-threat quarterback.  The same could be said for Colorado’s Shedur Sanders.  As far as pure pocket passers, the Titans could be in position to draft either Georgia’s Carson Beck or Texas’ Quinn Ewers.  Alabama’s Jalen Milroe could be an interesting choice in the middle of the first round, but if Tennessee sticks with Levis another season, some latter round options could be of interest.

Some of those options include Ole Miss QB Jaxon Dart, Penn State’s Drew Allar, Arizona’s Noah Fifita and Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel.  A couple of Day 3 possibilities include Clemson’s Cade Klubnik and Tyler Shough of Louisville.
