2024 NFL Mock Draft: Third-round selections for each NFC North team
By Beau Adams
At No. 73, the Green Bay Packers select QB Jayden Daniels, LSU. Shocking Daniels is available here, but Green Bay scores big in the third.
Daniels' 69 percent completion rate on passes of 20 yards or longer is the best in the nation, and his 30:4 TD-INT ratio is the tops in college football. His exceptional ability to avoid defenders and keep the ball in motion earned him the title GOAT scrambler in LSU's history. His style of play is like a combination of Anthony Richardson and Trevor Lawrence.
The stats that Daniels has put up are impressive, with a 71.4 percent completion rate with 3164 passing yards while closing in on 1000 rushing yards with eight rushing TDs. However, his decision-making in critical moments sets him apart and makes him a strong contender for the Heisman.
Green Bay jumps on a big-armed, dual-threat QB that can effectively tush-push. If Jordan Love isn't by the third week of 2024, Daniels will be the next generational QB in Green Bay.
