With the last pick of the second round, the Philadelphia Eagles select Trey Benson, RB, Florida State. All analysts were thinking of DJ James, the CB from Auburn, but this is a terrific acquisition for the Super Bowl Champions.

In 10 games in 2023, Trey Benson has accumulated 721 yards, ten touchdowns, and 6.4 yards per carry. His vision is remarkable, as he can spot cut-back lanes and instantly break off large chunks of yardage. Benson has the agility of an Olympic sprinter and can quickly switch directions with his feet.

Benson has excellent acceleration once he plants his foot, which can throw off defenders. This burst is incredibly successful when he has space to work with. Furthermore, Benson is an excellent blocker in the running game and can quickly transition upfield in the screen game. He also has the strength to protect the quarterback in pass protection. This will prove incredibly valuable in the brotherly shove situations.

He draws size, speed and rating comparisons to former FSU RB Dalvin Cook; however, I think he plays a little more like the Raider's Josh Jacobs.
