2027 NFL Mock Draft: Eagles land a rising WR as another QB sneaks into Round 1
No. 25 Jacksonville Jaguars: Sammy Brown, LB, Clemson
With linebacker being one of the projected needs for the Jaguars, they select Sammy Brown with the No. 25 overall pick.
A plug-and-play linebacker with great size and physical power, the Clemson star could be just what the Jaguars need to get younger at the position while creating some financial flexibility.
Brown could step in alongside Pro Bowl linebacker Foyesade Oluokun, giving Jacksonville a young building block at the position.
No. 26 Baltimore Ravens: Jordan Seaton, T, LSU
This is a spot where the Baltimore Ravens can think long term with Ronnie Stanley aging and consistently dealing with injuries.
Like the Ravens seem to always do in the early rounds of the draft, they find a long-term successor with LSU's Jordan Seaton falling to them at No. 26.
The big man is an anchor in pass protection who can maintain blocks through the rep and has plenty of pop in his pads in the run game.
A great fit for the player and the team.
No. 27 Philadelphia Eagles: KJ Duff, WR, Rutgers
In Thursday's NFL Draft Notebook, Rutgers star receiver KJ Duff was noted as a perfect fit for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Duff's dominant start has his draft stock rising, and he could be exactly what is missing in the Eagles' offense following the A.J. Brown trade.
If the Rutgers star continues producing against stronger competition, No. 27 may eventually look too low for one of the fastest-rising receivers in the 2027 NFL Draft.
No. 28 San Francisco 49ers: Trevor Lauck, T, Iowa
The 49ers find their long-term answer at tackle with the selection of Iowa's Trevor Lauck at No. 28 overall.
A lineman with good pop in his pads on first contact, the 6-foot-5, 314-pound Lauck could help the 49ers finally prepare to move on from future Hall of Fame tackle Trent Williams.
No. 29 Chicago Bears: Cayden Green, T, Missouri
Caleb Williams and the Bears' rushing attack looked awesome in the team's 59-point explosion in Week 1.
The team, however, still needs to prioritize protecting Williams at the tackle position. They do that with the selection of Missouri's Cayden Green at No. 29.
A 6-foot-5, 324-pound force, Green's flexibility allows him to move inside to guard if necessary. But in Chicago, he'll have an opportunity to become the answer at left tackle.
No. 30 Kansas City Chiefs: Jamari Johnson, TE, Oregon
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs with a running game looked unstoppable on Monday night.
Now, imagine them with a young, pass-catching tight end who could serve as a big target down the seams for Mahomes.
Although Travis Kelce is still wearing pads, his dominance in the passing game has naturally declined with age and wear and tear.
Enter Jamari Johnson, who is projected as one of the top tight end prospects in the 2027 class and a player whose ceiling could rise even higher catching passes from Mahomes in Andy Reid's offensive scheme.
No. 31 Arizona Cardinals: Drew Mestemaker, QB, Oklahoma State
Well, with an upset win over the Chargers, the Cardinals temporarily took themselves out of the running for top quarterback prospects like Arch Manning and Dante Moore.
If the season ended today, they would make Drew Mestemaker the sixth quarterback off the board late in the first round.
After a mediocre start to the 2026 season, Mestemaker made up for it with a head-turning performance in Oklahoma State's upset win over Oregon in Week 2.
With 426 total yards in that game, Mestemaker showed scouts what he can do with both his arm and his legs, with 109 of those yards coming on the ground.
No. 32 Buffalo Bills: Jackson Bennee, S, Utah
The Buffalo Bills' offense is off to a tremendous start after a 41-31 win over the Lions on Thursday night.
While Josh Allen is off to a dominant start, the Bills' defense could use another enforcer or two at key positions. One of those positions is safety, which leads to the selection of Utah's Jackson Bennee to round out the first round.
The Bills need a versatile safety who can play in the slot and provide support against the run, and Bennee fits that role perfectly.
The question is whether he'll still be around at No. 32.
If he is, the Bills will be grinning from ear to ear.
