Out of the 16 players selected as contenders, Arch Manning and Dante Moore tops the list as expected, but which one will be the first off, the board? In this 2027 NFL Mock Draft, we take it further in rounding out the top 10 of the draft which features elite talent landing in prime destinations.
2027 NFL Mock Draft: Projecting the first 10 picks
No. 1 Arizona Cardinals: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
Dante Moore is selected first overall by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2027 NFL Draft. While Carson Beck had a promising preseason appearance, securing the No. 1 overall pick after the 2026 season suggests Arizona still needs a quarterback. Given the depth of talent at that position this year, the Cardinals opt for Moore, who offers the best chance to start immediately and make an impact with the team’s existing roster. Moore's arm talent, pocket poise and ability to attack every level of the field make him the ideal franchise quarterback if Arizona finds itself selecting first overall.
No. 2 Miami Dolphins: Arch Manning, QB, Texas
The Dolphins can’t pass on taking a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft. Jeremiah Smith will be very tempting here, but if Malik Willis proves not to be the man in Miami, they address the position by selecting the most talented quarterback they have drafted since Dan Marino. Like Marino, Arch Manning comes to South Beach with elite arm talent and high expectations to continue the bloodline of success that comes with his name. Following a strong finish to the 2025 season, Manning will have a chance to secure his status as one of the top two quarterbacks in 2026. The Dolphins taking him at No. 2 means the young quarterback talent had a big season and most importantly is ready to step onto the spotlight of the NFL stage.
No. 3 New York Jets: Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State
The Jets select Ohio State's Julian Sayin, making him the third quarterback chosen consecutively. After transferring from Alabama, Sayin excelled in 2025 with 3,610 passing yards and 32 touchdowns as a starter. As a preseason Heisman favorite, he’s a strong contender for the top draft pick. With his quick release, accuracy, and play-action skills, Sayin joins an already talented Jets offense featuring Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, Omar Cooper Jr., and Kenyon Sadiq.
No. 4 Las Vegas Raiders: Jeremiah Smith, WR, Ohio State
The Raiders secured their franchise quarterback by picking Fernando Mendoza first overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. Now, just a year later, they might be looking to add a top-tier receiver like Jeremiah Smith, who is considered the best non-quarterback prospect in the 2027 draft. Smith would offer Mendoza a premier downfield target and perfectly complement the offensive weapons already on the roster, such as tight end Brock Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty. With Smith joining an already strong lineup, the Raiders could assemble a powerful core capable of dominating the AFC West for years to come.
No. 5 Cleveland Browns: Colin Simmons, ED, Texas
Holding two first round selections, the Browns select Texas standout Colin Simmons with their highest pick. Following a major trade that sent Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland acquires a top-tier talent to bolster their edge rush. Simmons, considered among the premier edge rushers for the 2027 draft, is known for his playmaking ability and fierce approach, mirroring Garrett's tenacity and skill in transitioning from speed to power. In 2025, Simmons topped the SEC with 12 sacks. No. 6 Tennessee Titans: Trevor Goosby, T, Texas
To bolster their offensive line in front of Cam Ward, the Titans chose Texas tackle Trevor Goosby with the No. 6 draft pick to protect Ward’s blindside. As the first tackle off the board, Goosby brings notable size and skill, promising lasting impact. Goosby gives Tennessee a long-term answer at left tackle while allowing the organization greater roster flexibility moving forward.
No. 7 Carolina Panthers: Dylan Stewart, ED, South Carolina
Another big-time edge rusher comes off the board at No. 7 as the Carolina Panthers land South Carolina star Dylan Stewart in this top 10 projection of the 2027 NFL Draft. At 6-foot-5, 250 pounds, Stewart would bring a Von Miller-type vide to a Panthers’ defense starving for a trend setter off the edge. Along with his first step explosiveness, Stewart is an instinctive, versatile defender who can change the tone of a game with just one play.Â
No. 8 New York Giants: Leonard Moore, CB, Notre Dame
The New York Giants have spent the last couple of drafts inserting talented defenders to their front seven. With the No. 8 overall pick in this draft, the Giants land their potential CB1 with the selection of Notre Dame’s Leonard Moore. At the top projected cornerback entering the 2026 college football season, Moore can further set himself apart as a future boundary cornerback who combines his ideal size, elite speed and scheme versatility in a way that can transcend any NFL secondary. If the Giants get the best out of 2026 second-round pick Colton Hood in Year 1, this could set up as a CB duo of the future in the Big Apple.
No. 9 Atlanta Falcons: Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
In the 2026 NFL Draft, the Falcons selected Zachariah Branch to add another dimension to their offense alongside star receiver Drake London. Although Branch brings additional playmaking ability to the passing game, the team is still searching for a strong No. 2 receiver. Texas wideout Cam Coleman fits that need, offering exceptional leaping skills thanks to his 6-foot-3 height. Playing next to London could help Coleman become more physical as a receiver and improve his body control both along the sideline and when making contested catches downfield.
No. 10 New Orleans Saints: David Stone, DL, Oklahoma
The Saints address one of their projected top needs in the 2027 NFL Draft with the selection of Oklahoma’s David Stone with the No. 10 overall pick. Unless Tyler Shough takes a step back and the priority shifts to QB, adding a disrupter in the middle of the line like Stone will further build the defensive line and allow the team to find a defensive identity as the franchise enters a new era following Cameron Jordan's likely final season.Â
