No. 26:  Buffalo Bills – Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF

Lawrence has seen his stock skyrocket recently and has many analysts now shifting their mock drafts to fit him into the 1st round. I'm doing the same, putting him on a Bills defense that could use one more piece to their defensive front.

No. 27: San Francisco 49ers – Caleb Lomu, T, Utah

The Ringer reporter Todd McShay said that San Francisco is enamored by the athleticism and potential that Lomu possesses. If McShay's sources are as reliable as usual, this could be a rare "set in stone" pick in the late 1st round.

No. 28: Chicago Bears via Houston Texans – Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami

Chicago is entering their win-now mode after making the playoffs in 2025, with EDGE being a position that they could use a boost at. Mesidor's age has been brought up, but he's a player who should need little to no transition time and impact the Bears' defense immediately.

No. 29: Kansas City Chiefs (via LAR) – Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State

Giving someone for Tate to work against in practice, I think the Chiefs' second pick is bound to be a cornerback if they don't take one at #9. Johnson is someone I can see sneaking into the 1st round and he fits well with the Steve Spagnuolo defensive scheme.

No. 30: Miami Dolphins (via DEN) – Denzel Boston, WR, Washington

Here's Miami's big receiver add, Boston is a physical weapon with the contested catch skills to make the Dolphins' red zone passing attack nearly automatic. He has to work on some of his movement skills, but his ability to split a defense downfield is undeniable.

No. 31: New England Patriots – Cashius Howell, EDGE, Texas A&M

This pick has remained, at least from a public viewpoint, a toss-up between tackle or edge rusher, with the latter being where I believe the Patriots will settle. Howell adds the speed they've been looking for, inserting a pass rush specialist onto their defensive line. The Super Bowl showed how much they need an upgrade in that area, so here they address that need at their earliest convenience.

No. 32: Las Vegas Raiders via Seattle Seahawks – Kayden McDonald, DL, Ohio State

With just 4 total picks, the Seahawks have been outwardly telling teams that they simply don't want to pick at 32. I think Las Vegas is a team that could take the bait, jumping back into the 1st round to take McDonald, a physical run defender. He makes their defensive front much more well-rounded and puts more pressure on defenses to contain Maxx Crosby off the edge.
