2026 NFL Draft: Best overall running back lands in the AFC South

Tennessee Titans (3-14) – Last in AFC South

Round 1, No. 4: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

NFL Draft analyst Matthew Berry reported on February 27 that the Titans view Love as the top player in the entire draft class, and it's difficult not to project him landing at No.4 after news like that, especially after his unbelievable combine showing. The Notre Dame product is pure dynamite as a runner and would give Tennessee two young stars in their offensive backfield, pairing him with 2025 1st overall pick Cam Ward. Their run game was decent in 2025, but Love would allow the entire offensive unit to expand and take on a whole new identity.

Indianapolis Colts (8-9) – 3rd in AFC South

Indianapolis traded away their 1st round selection in the November Sauce Gardner deal, giving up the 16th overall pick to the New York Jets.

Houston Texans (12-5) – 2nd in AFC South

Round 1, No. 28: Emmanuel Pregnon, OG, Oregon

On Wednesday morning, the Texans traded away another interior offensive lineman when they sent Juice Scruggs to Detroit along with draft compensation for RB David Montgomery, only making the outcome of their first pick being OL even more likely. Pregnon is an interior offensive lineman who can throw defenders around like it's nothing, and would be effective in improving an offense that fell flat on its face against New England in the 2025 divisional round.

Jacksonville Jaguars (13-4) – 1st in AFC South

Jacksonville traded away their 1st round selection in the 2025 draft day deal to move up for Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter, giving up the now-24th overall pick to the Cleveland Browns.
