AFC East on #SNF: New York Jets look to pull a major upset in KC

If you think the Patriots beating the Cowboys will be a big upset, imagine if somehow the New York Jets pulled an upset at Arrowhead going up against Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs…especially with Zack Wilson at quarterback.

In a Sunday Night matchup that will have a lot of Taylor Swift appeal, the Jets running game will hope to steal the spotlight and at least take some pressure off Wilson who has taken a lot of criticism this week.  Much of that criticism came from Jets legend Joe Namath who publicly said something most Jets fans are probably thinking…let’s be real.

"“I wouldn’t keep him – I’ve seen enough of Zach Wilson,” Namath said during an interview on the Yes Network, see below.  “I’ve seen enough.  Has quick feet, can throw a little bit.  But I don’t believe what’s going on up there.”"

Could Namath’s comments put a spark in the Jets team who is out to prove Namath wrong?  If the Jets pull off the unthinkable, the running back duo of Dalvin Cook and Breece Hall will have to play a huge role.  They can’t put more pressure on Wilson by depending on his arm and decision making.  They must let him feed off a strong, effective running game that will keep the game short and give their defense a chance to limit Mahomes.

Obviously, that will be a tough task with Kelce back in the offense.  Who knows, maybe he’ll be distracted with his new boo Taylor Swift watching in the press box.  Still, if the Jets are going to have a chance to win the game and keep from being the cellar dweller of the AFC East for yet another season, it will rest on Sauce Gardner and that defense.

Don’t be surprised if this one is a game going into the fourth quarter.
