Defensive Player of the Year — Micah Parsons (Cowboys)

Micah Parsons took little time acquainting himself to the NFL. As a rookie, he recorded 13 sacks before adding .5 more in 2022, giving him a stellar 26.5 career sacks through two seasons (via PFR). This upward trajectory has no end in sight, as Parsons has the opportunity and talent to challenge for single-season sack records in Year 3.

The competition is stiff around the league. Guys like Nick Bosa, Myles Garrett, T.J. Watt, and Aaron Donald are fixtures in Defensive Player of the Year conversations. As great as these defenders are, none will lead the league in sacks in 2023. That honor goes to Micah Parsons. And he will take home a shiny DPOY trophy for his efforts.
