The AFC East was really buzzing this week.  Two prime running backs joined the division, one of which has the New York Jets hyped and the other has Dallas Cowboys fanboy Skip Bayless saying good riddance.  Can Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen avoid the “Madden curse” and the Miami Dolphins avoid a scare with an injury to one of their top offensive linemen.

The biggest buzz this week was obviously the Jets signing Dalvin Cook.  The All-Pro running back wanted to join Aaron Rodgers in New York and the two sides got their wish as Cook signed a one-year deal worth up to $8.6 million.

Because with the addition of Cook in that backfield, the Jets have a very talented group of running backs, deep and explosive.  Speaking to the media on Thursday, Cook glamoured about the group he has joined.

"“Obviously, when you dig deep and look into the roster, I think all the pieces are put together,” Cook said, via NFL.com.  “I think I can come help these guys.  When you look at the running back room with M.C. (Michael Carter), Breece,(Hall), Bam (Zonovan Knight) and all those guys, with me just adding to it, I think it could be something special.”"

With Hall returning from ACL surgery, he could be potentially start off slow, but with Cook now in the mix, the Jets can give him time to gain his ground.  Once he’s back to the Hall who dazzled during his rookie season before the season-ending injury, the Jets will a well-fueled machine out of the backfield.

But, they aren’t the only team in the AFC East with an interesting running back duo entering the 2023 NFL season.
