NFC West

Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray

The Arizona Cardinals and quarterback Kyler Murray are tied to one another for the next handful of years, and after firing Kliff Kingsbury this offseason, the Cardinals have already indicated that Murray will be a part of the search committee for a new head coach. Murray is under contract through 2029, and with a number of quality receivers to work with, the Cardinals should bounce back strong from a disappointing 2022 season.

Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford

To think that the Super Bowl window for the Los Angeles Rams is closed would be premature, as Matthew Stafford should return as the starting quarterback in 2023. With an elbow injury that is troublesome for any quarterback, and especially one who will be 35 years old before next season, Stafford still possesses the poise and experience of a Super Bowl winning quarterback with one of the NFL’s elite receivers in Cooper Kupp.

San Francisco 49ers: Brock Purdy

The San Francisco 49ers seem to have found their quarterback in Brock Purdy, who was the last overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Purdy, who will be undergoing surgery this offseason to repair a torn UCL, will likely have to fend off the former number three overall draft pick in Trey Lance, but with his playoff experience and resume on the field, the former Mr. Irrelevant seems positioned to enter 2023 as the team’s starting quarterback after going undefeated as a healthy starter.

Seattle Seahawks: Bryce Young

Alabama’s Bryce Young is one of the most compelling prospects in this year’s draft, as the quarterback has the accuracy and playmaking to compete at the next level, despite a below average height and weight. Whether he falls in the draft or the Seattle Seahawks trade up, Young could be a problem in Pete Carroll’s offense. With a great duo of wide receivers, the offense could take another step by adding their franchise quarterback.
