NFC South

Atlanta Falcons: Lamar Jackson

The Atlanta Falcons make a splash by trading for former unanimous MVP Lamar Jackson, who joins a young offensive core that features Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Tyler Allgeier. The Falcons would have to trade multiple picks to Baltimore for the quarterback, as well as signing him to the lucrative deal that he has been demanding since last offseason, but it would be worth it for one of the most explosive players in the NFL.

Carolina Panthers: Anthony Richardson

With a new head coach in Frank Reich, the Carolina Panthers are in a full rebuild, and could start with one of the most dynamic quarterback prospects in Florida’s Anthony Richardson. At 6’4″ and 230 lbs. with a 4.5 40-yard dash, Richardson looks like a slightly smaller but slightly faster Cam Newton, who won the MVP in Carolina. Richardson will likely need some time to adjust to the speed of the NFL, but in the right situation, the big arm quarterback could become a great playmaker under center.

New Orleans Saints: Geno Smith

The New Orleans Saints are more than $50 million over the cap and do not have their first round pick in 2023, so the thought of the team finding their franchise quarterback this offseason would be optimistic to say the least. The team may have to look to a bridge veteran like Geno Smith, who finished eighth overall in passing yards and fourth in passing touchdowns in 2022. In one of the weaker divisions in the league, Smith could do enough for the Saints to win the NFC South in 2023.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Zach Wilson

With the departure of Tom Brady, and an aging roster that won the Super Bowl just two seasons ago, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may take a flier on a young quarterback like Zach Wilson, who will likely be replaced in New York. A former top two draft pick, Wilson’s career has turned sour with the Jets, and a restart in Tampa Bay may be a healthy change for a player who will turn just 24 before next season’s start.
