Round 4, 124th Overall: Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland

Corner is another area the Los Angeles Chargers will likely look closely at this offseason. Michael Davis is a free agent after 2023. Bryce Callahan is a free agent now. Will J.C. Jackson be healthy enough to play anytime soon? That’s a lot of questions and potential turnover for this unit. Deonte Banks has the athleticism, toughness, and plus size to thrive in Staley’s defense, and could be a big draft riser.

Round 5, 156th Overall: Keion White, DL, Georgia Tech

Don’t forget about injecting the defensive line with a little talent as well. After Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, there just isn’t much depth. Keion White can be a versatile pass rusher in this defense. He has the explosion and power combination to generate pressure on the edge, and he’s too quick for guards to handle, especially when combined with quick, violent, accurate hand usage.

Round 6, 199th Overall: Dorian Williams, LB, Tulane

Drue Tranquill coming back would be a boost for the Chargers, but it’s no guarantee. Even if he returns, former first-round pick Kenneth Murray just hasn’t found it. Dorian Williams packs a wallop as a linebacker, with the run and chase skills to operate in space and the power to disrupt coming downhill.

Round 7, 240th Overall: Noah Gindorff, TE, North Dakota State

Chargers fans probably want tight end to get addressed a bit earlier, but there are some athletes late who can develop into quality starters down the road. Noah Gindorff is one of them. Gindorff’s production was lacking at North Dakota State (only three games played in 2022 though), but he’s got the size to handle things inline and was productive (over 2.3 YPRR) when targeted.
