The Kansas City Chiefs have gone to four straight AFC Championships and were a few plays away from playing in their third straight Super-Bowl. That being said, key pieces to those championship runs are designated to play for other teams this fall; most notably Tyreek Hill and Tyrann Mathieu. The loss of those two players in particular, will leave a void on both sides of the ball in production and leadership. The Chiefs acquired some talented young receivers in free agency and looked at the draft to help fortify a defense that could use a spark on the line and in the secondary.

Best Selection: Skyy Moore

Four out of the six defensive players drafted by Kansas City play in the secondary. Though this was arguably the biggest need for the Chiefs, the best player selected was the slot receiver out of Western Michigan, Skyy Moore.

Though Sky Moore will probably run more so in the slot, in college he worked inside and outside and has a subtleness to his game that had many scouts believing he could go in the first round. One thing Skyy Moore will not be asked to do is, “be Tyreek Hill.” That’s impossible! Skyy Moore is a shifty receiver who can run after the catch. Kansas City already has the system in place to take advantage of Moore’s special abilities.

All he has to do is capitalize on his opportunities and he could possibly have a Jaylen Waddle type year with 100+ catches to go along with 1,000 yards receiving as a rookie.
