Arizona Cardinals 7-Round 2022 Mock Draft: Lockdown CB1 And More!
Round 6, 200th Overall: Danny Gray, WR, SMU
If the Arizona Cardinals lose Kirk to free agency, it’s going to be important to add more explosiveness to the room of receivers. SMU’s Danny Gray would be a very good replacement. The JUCO transfer played very well for the Mustangs in 2021, showing off the short area burst and field vision to be dangerous after the catch, while also displaying a good release package to gain some early separation. Gray tracks the ball well too and could be a good third option in the passing game.
Round 7, 240th Overall: D’Vonte Price, RB, FIU
The running back room could look thin for Arizona as well, especially if neither Edmonds nor Conner returns. D’Vonte Price is a Senior Bowl participant to watch, as he has the straight line speed and build to thrive on early downs. Price also does well in pass protection, offering up the ability to be out on the field on every down early in his career.
Round 7, 256th Overall: Ali Fayad, EDGE, Western Michigan
This Cardinals mock draft rounds out with more help on the edge. Ali Fayad had some serious juice, from his wicked first step, to an impressive array of moves. His bend and dip around the arc is a difficult thing to defend, and he can work his way into the rotation as a rusher in year one.
