Round 5, 175th Overall: Rasheed Walker, OT, Penn State

There’s still hope for the Arizona Cardinals in their tackle room, most notably with former Houston lineman and third round pick Josh Jones. He’s moved to the inside, and Kelvin Beachum has taken tackle duties. However, Beachum is a free agent after 2022, as is left tackle D.J. Humphries.

There needs to be more in that room, and the Cardinals get Rasheed Walker in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Walker feels like a great value in the fifth round, as he is a strong player at the point of attack. He moves defenders in the run game and has the strength and enough ability in pass protection to build upon.

Round 5, 178th Overall: Jake Ferguson, TE, Wisconsin

The real question for the Arizona Cardinals at the tight end position revolves around Zach Ertz. They traded for him during the 2021 season and bringing him back would be advantageous to Arizona. However, what will the yearly salary be for Ertz? With little cap room and not much behind him, the position should be in the 2022 NFL Draft plans.

Jake Ferguson is a tight end who can do it all. Ferguson is a very good player inline as a blocker, but has a great pair of mitts and good ball skills while also thriving through contact at the catch point. He can make an early impact in both facets of the game.
