2022 NFL Mock Draft: Edge Rushers Fly Off The Board, 3 QBs In Round 1
By Evan Bachman
11. Philadelphia Eagles: DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M
The Philadelphia Eagles could already use more pass rushers and with Derek Barnett being a free agent, finding pass rushers should be a big priority for them this offseason.
DeMarvin Leal is a former five-star recruit who checks all of the boxes of a top ten prospect. He has all the traits to develop into a very good defensive lineman in the NFL with a good blend of size, power, and movement skills and he has performed well at Texas A&M as both a pass rusher and run stopper.
Leal is a unique prospect as he primarily lines up on edge, however with his size (6-foot-4, 290 pounds) and power he could definitely be effective lining up on the interior as well and provide some versatility for the Eagles.
12. Carolina Panthers: Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M
Sam Darnold is clearly not the long term answer for the Panthers, so I could see them drafting a quarterback, however with both Corral and Willis off the board in this 2022 NFL mock draft, I think they’ll instead go offensive line, which is their biggest need.
Kenyon Green is a former five-star, who is a very powerful blocker, capable of moving defenders. Green also would provide the Panthers with a lot of versatility as already this season he’s played 80+ snaps at left tackle, left guard, right guard, and right tackle and could play any of those positions in the NFL.
