2022 NFL Mock Draft: Edge Rushers Fly Off The Board, 3 QBs In Round 1

10. Washington Football Team: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty
The Washington Football Team are definitely in need of a franchise quarterback, so if they have a chance to get Malik Willis or Matt Corral I think they’ll do it.
With a strong start to the season, I actually had Willis going in the top five of a 2022 NFL mock draft I did about a month ago. Unfortunately, he’s had some struggles the second half of the season as over the last six games he’s thrown six interceptions.
That said, there is still a lot to like about Willis. He has a very good arm as he can make basically any throw on the football field. In fact, 10.1% of his passes have been big time throws, which is the best in college football by over two percentage points.
Willis can also add an extra dimension as a runner as he is fast, elusive, and has good vision. Through eleven games this season he has recorded 74 missed tackles on 80 rush attempts. The concern with Willis is that his competition level isn’t very high, however we’ve seen many quarterbacks from smaller schools go very high in the draft such as Carson Wentz and Trey Lance. That shouldn’t stop NFL teams from drafting him.
