2022 NFL Mock Draft: Giants, Broncos, Football Team All Select QBs
5. Philadelphia Eagles (via MIA): Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
The Philadelphia Eagles could end up with three picks in the top 15, even as they make a playoff push. Jalen Hurts is starting to pick things up in the offense, and there’s a good chance the Eagles continue to roll with him.
The defensive line needs some help, and that’s where Aidan Hutchinson comes in. Hutchinson could bring more youth to the defensive line, and with his athleticism and pass rush repertoire, he could push the defensive line back to the heights of the Super Bowl team.
6. New York Giants: Matt Corral, QB, Mississippi
Maybe the first big surprise in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, as the New York Giants opt for a quarterback. Daniel Jones isn’t playing bad football per se, but if Joe Judge and Dave Gettleman are fired, the new regime could start with their own guy.
Matt Corral has been the most talented and one of the most consistent passers in college football in 2021. He’s limited turnovers, has improved with his ball placement, and has the mobility to extend plays. His quick release and sufficient arm can threaten all levels of the field.
7. New York Jets (via SEA): Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
After addressing the offensive line, the Jets now look to the secondary in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. They could opt for a corner, but with a top two talent sitting on the board, it’s hard to pass up the chance to select Kyle Hamilton.
Hamilton has the size, length, and versatility to be a premier safety. His range and recognition skills are fantastic, he’s a reliable tackler in space and when filling near the line of scrimmage, and can make plays with the ball in the air.
8. New York Giants (via CHI): Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M
After getting a new quarterback, making sure everything around him is in place is next. The offensive line could use some help, especially on the interior. Luckily, a versatile prospect is available here in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.
Kenyon Green has played both guard spots and tackle spots for the Aggies, and he could fill in wherever the Giants need. His power, anchor, and impressive footwork will be great in a phone booth or on the outside at tackle.
