Round 5, 171st Overall: Austin Stogner, TE, Oklahoma

The tight end position is one that could be improved for the Minnesota Vikings. Yes, Tyler Conklin is playing well in relief of Irv Smith Jr., but Conklin is a free agent after the season. As of now, with no guarantee for his return, the Vikings opt for one here. Austin Stogner has impressive size and good ball skills. He makes great adjustments to the football and is quick into his stem as a receiver.

Round 6, 186th Overall: Chad Muma, LB, Wyoming

With (potentially) no Anthony Barr or Nick Vigil in 2022, linebacker could be a position that gets addressed in the draft. Chad Muma is a perfect late round target. He isn’t the fastest linebacker, but he reacts quickly, shows good processing skills, and puts on a tackling clinic every week for Wyoming.

Round 6, 191st Overall: Matt Hankins, CB, Iowa

Adding more ballhawks to the defense would be good for the Minnesota Vikings. So, why not add another corner to the defense here in Iowa’s Matt Hankins. The senior had seven pass breakups a year ago, and has three interceptions this season to go with two pass breakups. He’s always around the ball and has sufficient athleticism to play inside or on the perimeter.

Round 6, 196th Overall: Doug Kramer, OL, Illinois

The Minnesota Vikings should get a good look at Mason Cole this week with Garrett Bradbury out, and that should give them a good idea of what Cole can be as the backup going forward. If not, then maybe adding some more reinforcements in the 2022 NFL Draft makes sense.

Doug Kramer is an experienced starter for the Illini at center, and has lead an impressive unit up front this year. His pad level, control, and hand usage are impressive at the point of attack and he offers stability as a pass protector.
