4. New York Jets: Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
The Jets are in a team building spot where they just need to focus on adding as much talent to the roster as possible. On a roster with a lot of holes best player available sounds like the best strategy for them and Kyle Hamilton is a consensus top player in this class. He’s the pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.
Hamilton is an intriguing player that every defensive coordinator would love to have on their defense. His primary position is safety but he’s someone who lines up all over the field and makes an impact in a variety of ways.
Hamilton has the physical traits with good speed, height, and length, but what separates him from most safeties are his instincts, he simply just has a nose for the football that most players don’t have. Those exceptional instincts have been on display this season as he’s picked off three passes through seven games.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
The Jaguars are another team in a spot where with a lot of holes on the roster, they need to be looking to add as much talent as possible to the roster. Adding Evan Neal would be a big step in repairing the Jaguars offensive line.
Neal has massive size at 6-foot-7, 350 pounds, and possesses the outstanding athletic ability and movement skills. Just check out this video of him doing a box jump, there simply aren’t many guys of his size that are capable of doing that.
Neal has been very good as both a run blocker and a pass protector this season for the Crimson Tide and he’s really solidified himself as a top five pick.
6. Philadelphia Eagles: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
After projecting a corner in Stingley Jr. to the Eagles with their first of three first rounders, the Eagles have a chance to add another talented player at a premium position in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.
Aidan Hutchinson is simply a freak athletically, standing at 6-foot-6, 265 pounds he moves very well and he can win with quickness or power.
Hutchinson has been dominant rushing the passer this season, as he’s recorded 34 pressures and six sacks in seven games. This has really solidified him as one of the top players in this draft.
