Green Bay Packers

This destination makes sense for multiple reasons. Aaron Rodgers has been very vocal in the past about wanting some more talented wide receivers to help make his job easier. His propensity for throwing the deep ball would be a near-perfect match for the skill set of Brandin Cooks.

It’s also worth noting that as of this writing, the Packers were down their top three wide receivers ahead of their Thursday night game with the Arizona Cardinals. The Packers will likely need to add wide receiver depth one way or another before the deadline and shipping out a pick or two for a five-time 1,000-yard receiver wouldn’t be a bad way to do it.

There’s also the matter of diversifying the Packers’ wide receiver group. While having tall wide receivers can be an advantage, having only tall receivers like Marquez Valdes-Scantling (6’4”), Allen Lazard (6’5”), and Equanimeous St. Brown (6’5”) isn’t the way to go. Though Green Bay did well to address that this offseason by drafting Amari Rodgers and trading for Randall Cobb, two smaller quicker receivers who can get in and out of their breaks quicker, adding another smaller, more sudden receiver like Brandin Cooks could really flesh out their wide receiver room.
