Round 2, 47th Overall: Zion Tupuola-Fetui, EDGE, Washington

The revamping of the defense continues in the second round for the Kansas City Chiefs, as they look to help on the edge. It’s a loaded edge class in the 2022 NFL Draft, and finding someone to rush the passer from day one will be huge.

Zion Tupuola-Fetui made his return this season for the Huskies six months after an achilles tear. He’s dropped some weight and has looked natural as a stand-up rusher. He’s got a wicked first step, very good hand usage at contact, and good counters. He can win with an inside move and trim the edge to flatten his angle to the quarterback. The production is there like it was with a small sample size in 2020, and Tupuola-Fetui would be a great addition to the Chiefs.

Round 3, 78th Overall: Romeo Doubs, WR, Nevada

It’s clear that the Chiefs offense isn’t necessarily the problem, but outside of Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, this unit is lacking depth. Getting another reliable target in the passing game might be more of a priority for the Chiefs than we believe.

Romeo Doubs had a phenomenal week last Saturday, racking up over 200 yards receiving against Fresno State. He’s a natural initial separator who can win at the catch point and win vertically with straight line speed. He’d be a very nice fit in Andy Reid’s offense.
