2022 NFL Mock Draft: Eagles, Falcons Take QBs In 3-Round Projection
9. New York Jets (via SEA): Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
The Jets are back on the clock in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, and the right side of the offensive line needs to take priority. Zach Wilson is taking too many hits, and this week it may have cost him a significant portion of the season. Charles Cross may be a bit of a reach here at this point in the process, but his athleticism is a good calling card to have against NFL edge rushers.
10. Miami Dolphins (via SF): Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
The Miami Dolphins are a mess right now, as rumors swirl about their potential involvement in a Deshaun Watson trade. The coaching staff may be losing the locker room and Tua Tagovailoa is being out-paced by his fellow 2020 quarterbacks. Center is a great place to start, as Tyler Linderbaum, while undersized, has become the best center in college football. He’s a great way to kick off reloading the unit.
11. New England Patriots: DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M
The Patriots are always an enigma in mocks, and it’s no different in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Predicting what they’ll do is an exercise in futility. However, with DeMarvin Leal on the board, it’s an easy decision. His versatility could create plenty of favorable matchups along the line and he’s excellent defending the run.
12. Denver Broncos: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
The Broncos could go quarterback, but edge feels like the best place to turn in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. The Von Miller era is close to its end in Denver, so getting another young stud to pair with Bradley Chubb is crucial. George Karlaftis is wreaking havoc in the Big Ten this season and could be a game-wrecker in the NFL.
