13. Philadelphia Eagles (via IND): Daxton Hill, S, Michigan

The secondary still needs help in Philly beyond the addition of Stingley, so it’s to the safety well with this pick, a group that is deep in the 2022 NFL Draft. Daxton Hill had been playing unbelievable football for Michigan, and has the versatility and ability to play single high or in a deep shell for this Eagles unit.

14. Carolina Panthers: Nicholas Petit-Frere, OT, Ohio State

The Sam Darnold experiment is past the honeymoon phase, and it isn’t looking good in Carolina right now. There’s still time to right the ship, and fixing the offensive line is the way to go in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Nicholas Petit-Frere has done well with his transition to left tackle, and he has the movement skills, length, and hand usage to start right away.

15. New York Giants (via CHI): Sean Rhyan, OL, UCLA

Andrew Thomas has made giant steps this season, but the line for the Giants as a whole still needs work. Whether or not Sean Rhyan is a tackle at the next level remains to be seen, but he could succeed at multiple spots for this Giants unit and is worth the selection here in round one.

16. Kansas City Chiefs: Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia

Seeing the Chiefs this high in the order is a bit jarring, but Patrick Mahomes and the offense has masked serious deficiencies on defense. Taking the best available defender makes perfect sense, and Jordan Davis is having a great year on a historic Bulldogs defense. His ability to eat up space in the run game, plus his added quickness to rush the passer, gives the Chiefs someone to help Chris Jones.
