The Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers kick off the NFL’s season on Thursday. How to watch, stream, and what rookies to keep eyes on.
The NFL’s regular season is officially here. The Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to face off in a matchup of one of the league’s most popular teams and the reigning Super Bowl champions. Sounds like good TV, eh?
The Cowboys are obviously coming off of a very disappointing season in 2020, but Dak Prescott is back and healthy for the start of the 2021 season which has renewed hopes that the Cowboys can take the NFC East.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are obviously thinking about a repeat as champs given the fact that they returned 43 players from last year’s roster.
With six draft picks and only three newcomers, the Bucs are obviously reloaded and ready to go.

Rookies to Watch
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1. Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, EDGE
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers already have an elite defensive front, and they got even scarier in the 2021 NFL Draft with the addition of Washington’s Joe Tryon-Shoyinka. A twitched-up athlete, Tryon-Shoyinka showed out in preseason play and with his physical gifts, he could be an even bigger problem than originally anticipated thanks to the level of talent around him.

The rich get richer.
Tryon-Shoyinka is one of only nine newcomers to this Buccaneers roster in 2021, but he can have a major impact right away in rotation with Jason Pierre-Paul and Shaquil Barrett in Todd Bowles’ defense.
2. Jaelon Darden, WR/RS
The Buccaneers obviously will lean heavily on the veterans they have on their roster, but they certainly will be relying on the rookie class for some big plays on special teams.
Kick and punt returner Jaelon Darden, a speedy fourth-round pick in the 2021 class, has a chance to make a big splash in that phase.
The Bucs could also incorporate his speed into their vertical passing attack immediately, since he’ll be dressed anyway.
Dallas Cowboys
1. Micah Parsons, LB
The Dallas Cowboys are undoubtedly expecting Micah Parsons to have a massive impact on this game. He is an absolute freak of an athlete and I don’t think we’ll just see him playing in an off-ball linebacker role.
The Cowboys cross-trained Parsons as a pass rusher this offseason, and I think we’ll see him a fair amount in that kind of a role.
Parsons had a tremendous preseason and after not playing in the 2020 season due to the pandemic, he looks poised to have a massive impact on a Cowboys defense that desperately needs it in 2021.
2. Osa Odighizuwa, DL
Along with Micah Parsons, rookie defensive lineman Osa Odighizuwa managed to crack the starting lineup after his first NFL training camp and preseason.
Odighizuwa is fast as lightning when the ball is snapped, and he’s going to play with his hair on fire at all times, which could give the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ interior offensive line fits.
