2. EDGE Quincy Roche, Steelers (6th round, 219th overall)

As a transfer from Temple in 2020, pass rusher Quincy Roche was expected to see his 2021 NFL Draft stock soar as a member of the Miami Hurricanes.

Unfortunately, that didn’t really happen.

Roche still played pretty well, got an invite to the 2021 Senior Bowl, and played well there as well.

It was a bit of a stunner when he fell to day three of the 2021 NFL Draft and even more shocking as his free-fall lasted all the way to the sixth round, 219th overall.

As it turns out, the NFL may have been right about Roche, but the Pittsburgh Steelers weren’t so lucky trying to sneak him through waivers.

The New York Giants ended up putting in a claim on Roche, even just as this post is being typed up.

Roche has intriguing burst off the edge and even though he’s undersized, he does a good job of setting the edge versus the run. He’s a tough, physical player whose upside is pretty solid. For a September 1 waiver pickup, he’s a nice get for the New York Giants.
